Description
The Richardson playground is a simple, yet interesting structure that is suitable for children of all ages and abilities. People with disabilities can get access to the main deck by ascending the ADA-compliant Transfer Station stairwell or climbing the nautically themed Sea Creature Climber, which has molded shells, starfish, a turtle, and other ocean shapes that act as hand grips. A Double Slide is also included, where youngsters will enjoy sliding down the same path repeatedly. Because of the double form, twice as many children may ride at the same time, reducing wait times. In addition to the main deck, there is a 5-foot deck that may be reached either by using the stairwell or scaling the vertical Snake Climber. The Wave Slide, which is five feet tall, is located on this deck, making it the biggest slide on the whole construction. It also contains a Gear Panel, which gives the impression that the entire building is a gigantic machine, with the children serving as the engineers.
